for the national holiday doha’s representative architecture was impressively illuminated by projection. the drafts were a balancing act between tradition and the modern, artistic freedom and censorship, from arabic ornaments over penrose patterns to abstract moiré effects and scripture, as well as references to the country‘s culture and history.
